Meet Wren Loucks

CEO & Creative Director

Wren, smiles while opening up a small secret door to the studio.

Creativity is a powerful life force. It’s intoxicating, stimulating, it rattles like a snake. It moves unexpectedly and likes to dance between hard boundaries and infinite possibilities. I have been working with the energy of creativity my whole life, and now I work with others to unlock their own creativity and utilise it in tangible ways, to enhance their life and work.

When it comes to design, I see and feel the world with a deep sensitivity. I view design both metaphorically and physically. When I drop down, deep, into a space, and let myself feel all the sensorial elements intersecting within me, my eyes open wider. I am curious, and constantly learning. My team, our clients, and projects inspire me.

My design process and management style combines subjective experience with creative thinking and data-driven research. Working closely with the University College London School of Management, I integrate leading research into Be-kin’s internal processes and external projects, to improve project efficiencies, outcomes, and innovation.

My first degree was a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honors degree from Queen’s University, Canada, with a major in Oil Painting and minor in Art History. I then completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Architectural Interior Design at the Inchbald School of Design, London UK. I am currently an MBA Candidate at UCL, expected graduation 2024. I am British Institute of Interior Design Registered Interior Designer (the highest qualification), and an Associate of the Institute of Hospitality.

Designing spaces that stimulate wellbeing and purpose, weaves together my life experiences, knowledge and aligns with my ethos. This is why I created Be-kin.

Values

To create spaces that produce a deep sense of wellbeing, we believe they must be created from this vibrational frequency, or DNA.

We value social wellness, circularity in design and financial sustainability, so that our studio can continue to grow and spread its light brighter, across the world.

We also value science. Wren works closely with the University College London MBA department, to stitch data and leading re-search into our internal processes and external projects.
