LONDON DESIGN WEEK | The Art of Water
What does creativity mean to you?
To me, creativity is an energetic life-force that dances between hard boundaries and endless possibilities. It rattles like a snake. Its form is created through the expansion and contraction of ideas and emotions. It’s something I feel somatically in my body, and a space I daydream within.
As a Designer, when I create spaces for others, I work in service. I channel my creativity towards their project and within the boundaries of the brief. As an Artist, my creativity is expressed quite differently—I’m currently exploring total creative surrender—what happens when I release control, and allow creativity to move through me? So far, this.
Last week, I led a workshop for London Design Week in collaboration with Hotel Designs & Hansgrohe International called, The Art of Water. It gave Designers an opportunity to connect to their own creativity, outside of the deliverables of a project, and drop into a space of release.
I took participants on a journey to connect to their breathe, their body and an incredible underwater soundscape designed by our partners at GetSound.Ai for the event. We then began a communal painting, allowing our collective creativity to flow out onto the canvas, like water.
The energy in the room was beautiful. There was a true sense of release, and I felt a calling to offer more workshops. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

STUDIO NEWS | Brit List Awards
We have been shortlisted at the Brit Lists!
I’m so excited to announce that Be-kin has been shortlisted at the Brit List Awards for Interior Designer of the Year. The award ceremony is on November 2nd at PROUD. We are up against some very well-established studios, and it’s an honour to sit alongside them. Thanks UCL for the shout-out.
Help spread Be-kin’s light
Our Design & Wellbeing Packages are taking flight, and we have some very exciting commercial projects on the go—including a Pilates studio in Primrose Hill and several office spaces across London. If you know of anyone who could benefit from Be-kin, please spread the word. We really appreciate your support.
Until next time,
Wren.
