Clerkenwell Design Week
It was a pleasure to speak about Biophilic Design at the Atlas Concorde Showroom during Clerkenwell Design Week (May 23-24th). Biophilic Design is one of my main areas of research. It is an approach to design that looks into nature to find solutions and inspiration for how to live harmoniously and in a way that is soothing to the nervous system.

Be-kin Designer: Becky Storey
We are designing some wonderful spaces, including several private homes in London and in the British Countryside. We are also working with a couple of very innovative brands who have asked us to design their head offices.
I feel very grateful to have a talented team made up of designers, finance and marketing support at Be-kin. This month, I want to showcase Becky Storey.
“Design is a tool to enhance humanity.”
— Ilse Crawford
One of Becky’s favourite quotes.
Becky is one of our talented interior designers, who is currently working on a private home in London and a cottage in the Cotswolds. Her highest value in design is to listen. While she is aware of design trends, Becky is not led by this—she is led by the client. She is interested in exploring who they are and how they want to live and feel in their space. By listening deeply to her clients, Becky creates spaces that enrich their lives through the process of interior design.
In April, Becky was married and honeymooned in Sri Lanka (huge congratulations Becky!!). She found the time away inspiring. Becky has shared some photos of her trip, which have such a beautiful variety of textures and qualities of light.

Summer Essentials
Diptyque have launched their Summer Essentials range, which includes a limited edition citronnelle, lemongrass and orange blossom candle and reed diffuser, which smell beautiful. Place these new windows in your home or on the patio during a dinner party to help keep the bugs away.
If you would like to add a splash of colour in the kitchen, Ferm Living have a lovely collection of kitchen textiles. You can purchase these online, or at Richard Dare in Primrose Hill.
Until next time,
Wren.
