The Artist’s Table
WORKSHOPS HOSTED BY WREN LOUCKS
There is a kind of knowing that belongs only to making. The moment a gathered arrangement finds its balance. The stillness that settles when you are entirely absorbed in making something. The quiet satisfaction of leaving with a thing you made yourself.
The Artist's Table is a series of intimate workshops, each led by a maker whose practice is rooted in deep craft and creative conviction. Together they offer something rare: the chance to slow down, work with your hands, and leave with something made by your own hand.
Please note spaces are limited. Advanced booking is required.

Flower Arranging
The Art of the Centrepiece
From JO WILLIAMS of ISSY AND BELLA
Workshop hosted by WREN LOUCKS
Flowers have been at the heart of Jo's life for as long as she can remember. She grew up surrounded by them, and built her career from that same, unbroken devotion.
What distinguishes her work is a quality of attentiveness: a keen eye for detail, and an intuitive sense of the space flowers can hold. Jo works across the elegant, the romantic and the contemporary, always with a sensibility that feels both composed and alive.
Her practice is rooted in the rhythms of the season. She often works directly from the cutting garden, selecting each stem for its freshness and fragrance as she goes. The result is an arrangement with a spontaneity that cannot quite be engineered, only found.
Jo was Wren's wedding florist. What began there has grown into an ongoing creative partnership, and it is that same spirit of quiet collaboration they bring to these workshops.
There is something quietly grounding about working with flowers.
In this workshop, led by Jo from Issy and Bella, you will learn to compose a table centrepiece, then transform it into something ready to give.
Using seasonal flowers, Jo will guide you through the making of a considered arrangement: the layering, the balance, the decisions that turn a gathering of stems into a whole. From there, you will learn to wrap, ribbon and prepare your bouquet to travel, tissue, paper, a water bubble, so it arrives as beautifully as it was made.
You will leave with flowers in hand and a craft that extends beyond the day. A centrepiece for your table. A gift for someone else. Both made by you.
