Chelsea Pied-a-terre
We were approached to redecorate this pied-a-terre in a way that more thoughtfully supported our client’s health and wellbeing goals while providing space to entertain.
As a salsa dancer and nutritional therapist, she required a living space with a large mirror for practicing her dance routines and a home-office to meet her clients, but she also wanted to use the space to relax and entertain friends. A holistic design challenge if ever there was one.
We spent time carefully working on a layout that allowed her to adapt the space to suit her practical requirements. We then prioritised specifying high quality furniture made of natural or recycled materials, supporting her interest in sustainability and health.
Key pieces include a solid oak, hand-made rise and fall desk in her office and bespoke rugs made of PET fibres (recycled plastic bottles) and a hand-made bed and mattress made from organic, non-toxic materials. Indoor plants were incorporated into the scheme to promote clean air and vitality.
The result is a beautiful versatile space that both boosts our client’s wellbeing and supports her productivity and lifestyle.
Be Fresh. Be Versatile. Be-Kin.
