The Noa sit-stand desk by Benchmark.
Sit-Stand Desks
Do you feel healthy and productive in your workspace? If you spend most of your time at a desk, you may want to invest in a sit-stand desk.
Benefits of a sit-stand desk:
Ability to change your working position, which allows you to increase your mobility throughout the day and improve your circulation.
I find when presenting for long periods of time, you can project your voice better and breathe easier when standing.
The desk can be fully customised to your preferred seating and standing heights. Standard desks are 740-760cm in height, which suits most people but not everyone. It’s ideal to customise this so it supports you perfectly.
We love the Noa and Sage sit-stand desks by Benchmark. All members of the Be-kin community receive a 10% discount on Benchmark products. You can contact me for more details.
Head, neck, and. shoulders are relaxed. Monitor roughly an arm length’s away. Eye level 2-3 inches below the top of the monitor. Elbows at sides and bent at about 90 degrees. The wrists are flat on the keyboard, not angled up. Knees level with hips or slightly below. Flat feet on the ground or a footrest. Style your desk with objects that bring you joy and a sense of peace, such as plants, photographs and/or candles.
Ergonomics
It’s important to take time to ensure your workspace is set up to support your back, neck and overall health. Here are some tips:
Find a desk chair with lumbar support.
Check in to see if your head, neck and shoulders are relaxed. If they are not, adjust your chair and desk.
Your monitor should be roughly an arm lengths away.
Your eye level should be about 2-3 inches from the top of the monitor.
Your knees should be level with your hips or slightly below.
Your feet should be flat on the ground or a footrest. Avoid crossing your legs, which can strain your hips.
Style your desk with objects that bring you joy and a sense of peace. I love having photos of loved ones, crystal and plants on my desk.

Scent for Productivity
We love burning candles and incense in the studio. We do this to clear the energy before and after meetings, and to help us stay relaxed and focused. If you are working in a communal space, it’s important to note that some individuals find scent very overpowering— to the point of distraction—so it’s important to check with your team about their sensory preferences before burning candles and incense.
We really love MUSE incense. I burn Jasmine in the studio and Nagchampa at home. I like having different scents for my office and my home, to help separate the energy.
MUSE have offered the Be-kin community a 15% discount on all incense. You can use the code ‘bekin15’ when checking out online: MUSEincense.com
Until next time,
